I had tried Coke Zero when it first came out last year or so, and thought it was horrific.
However I've had it again recently (today, last week) and don't think it's that bad. How can that be?
Tonight is probably the last time I'll enjoy the food from Evanston Chicken Shack for a while, due to our upcoming move.
It's simply the finest fried chicken I've had from a restaurant, bar none. (Hecky's is good but not as good, in my opinion.) I have yet to have Harold's, which has a ton of fans... but Chicken Shack rocks.
Show us something that tastes great.
This is last weekend's batch of cookies, in which I used a new recipe and a new method (Alton Brown's suggested one, of course.) The results were more crumbly than chewy; I'm a chewy cookie kind of guy but, I will admit, I gained a newfound appreciation for the crumbly. These things could hold milk like nobody's business and they tasted so good.
Incidentally we had a bag of mass-produced cookies in the house and there's no comparison. These are so much better.
I'm actually making another batch right now. And I just finished making brownies. I'm a baking fiend!
